About

About Free Past Papers

Free Past Papers finds the past papers that exam boards give away free and puts them in one search, linked to each board’s own website.

Why we built it

Every board hides its free papers in a different place, with different filters and different rules about what is free and when. Students waste time hunting, and often land on copies of doubtful age. We wanted one place that finds the free papers by subject, says plainly what is free and what is held back, and sends you straight to the board’s own file or page.

What we cover

Our rules

  • We never copy board papers. We link to the board’s own file or page, as each board’s rules ask.
  • We never link to copies on other sites. Only the board’s own copy.
  • We never pose as a board. We use no board logos, and board names appear only to say whose papers a link opens.
  • Our words are our own. Every description of an exam on this site is written by us.

About us, briefly

Who runs Free Past Papers?

A small independent team that builds free study websites. We are not part of any exam board, school or government body.

Why don’t you host the board papers yourselves?

Because the boards do not allow it. Cambridge, AQA, Pearson and OCR all forbid copies of their papers on other websites, so we link to their own files and pages instead.

Why link to the board instead of another past paper site?

The board’s own copy is always the correct, up-to-date version, and linking to it respects the board’s rules. We never link to copies posted by other sites.

Where do the Singapore prelim papers come from?

From our own collection of school prelim papers. They are hosted here, on their own pages, and we do not name the schools.

Are there ads on the site?

No. The site carries no ads of any kind. Its only promotion is a labelled box for StudyLah, a tuition service, placed after the lists.
