What the Maths exam contains

Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0580), on the 2025 to 2027 syllabus, has two tiers. Core students sit Papers 1 and 3, 1 hour 30 minutes each, and can reach grades C to G. Extended students sit Papers 2 and 4, 2 hours each, and can reach grades A* to E. Papers 1 and 2 are done without a calculator and Papers 3 and 4 with one; the two papers in a tier count equally. Topics: number, algebra and graphs, coordinate geometry, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry, transformations and vectors, probability and statistics. The June 2024 papers on Cambridge’s page use the older format, which allowed a calculator in every paper.
